The Future of Missional Theology and Missional Churches Conference
The missional church conversation (though we might in some places use different terminology) is a broad and urgent conversation, and we have the impression that many of our churches are in some or other way involved in it. The report of the WCC on this theme confirms the importance of the conversation.
In SA the DR Church, for instance, took a formal decision during our last Synod meeting stating that we want to be a missional church with missional congregations. Several other denominations have an active missional conversation amongst leadership on all levels.
While most of us are grateful for the decision and conversation we must now implement it – and that, we realise, is a total different situation.
